The parade features original carnival costume made at summer workshops with couture carnival designer Melissa Simon-Hartman, and giant batik flags created with internationally renowned Kinetika. Music workshops continue with composer and jazz saxophonist Jason Yarde.

Carnival of the World is a Reading 2016 Year of Culture event in partnership with Reading Refocus and Reading College, supported using public funding by Reading Business Improvement District as part of the ARENA town centre free arts and culture programme, Reading Borough Council through The Cultural Partnership, and Arts Council England.

Next stop is London Notting Hill Carnival on Monday 29 August when CultureMix will showcase Carnival of the World on a float in the famous West London procession.
